Surrealism: Unlocking the Imagination in Art

Surrealism, a revolutionary art movement that emerged in the 1920s, sought to challenge the conventional boundaries of reality and explore the unconscious mind. Originating in Europe, particularly in France, Surrealism was heavily influenced by the psychological theories of Sigmund Freud and the Dadaist movement.
