Io Sono Li Movie Poster

The movie "Io sono Li" provides a unique perspective on cultural diversity and human relationships. The story revolves around the relationship between a young Chinese woman, Shun Li, who works in a textile factory in Italy's Veneto region to pay off her debts and gain custody of her son back home; and an aging fisherman named Bepi who becomes drawn to the outsider. It was directed by acclaimed Italian director Andrea Segre with Zhao Tao featuring as Shun Li and Rade Serbedzija as Bepi.

This drama genre film beautifully captures issues of immigration, friendship, love all within its runtime also touching on the topic of poetry - which has been used both symbolically & literally throughout various sequences in the movie.
