He was born in 1881 in Malaga. Real name; Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno is María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso. He is the artist who laid the foundation of the cubism movement in the field of painting. He is also known as the most productive painter. According to the figures entered in the Guinness Book of Records, he made a total of 13,500 paintings, 100,000 prints, 34,000 book illustrations and 300 sculptures and many ceramics and drawings.

His works are included in the cubism movement. However, Picasso did not use the elements of cubism or surrealism in the years when he first started his drawing life, and realist elements were dominant in his works. He preferred bright colors in his works. It uses large surfaces. His paintings can be examined in three periods as the blue period, the pink period and the cubist period. In the blue period, he mainly used blue colors and generally the subject of his works is circus life, clowns, acrobats, etc. In the pink period, the color of his works shifts to pinkish tones. Melancholy and emotionally charged drawings predominate. Patterns and lines are predominant. Shapes are bordered by heavy contours.
