Richard Rogers, Su Rogers, Renzo Piano ve Gianfranco Franchini’den olu\u015fan mimari ekip taraf\u0131ndan y\u00fcksek teknoloji mimarisi tarz\u0131nda tasarland\u0131. Le Centre Pompidou, Paris’de ulusal bir modern sanat galerisi, bir k\u00fct\u00fcphane ve di\u011fer k\u00fclt\u00fcrel performans ve etkinliklere ev sahipli\u011fi yapan modern bir binad\u0131r.
\n1968’de Fransa cumhurba\u015fkan\u0131 Charles de Gaulle, Les Halles ve Paris’in kalbindeki Marais yak\u0131nlar\u0131ndaki Plato Beaubourg’un yeni bir \u00fccretsiz halk k\u00fct\u00fcphanesinin yeri olaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ilk kez duyurdu. Bir y\u0131l sonra, yeni Fransa Cumhurba\u015fkan\u0131 Georges Pompidou, Beaubourg yap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n bir \u00e7a\u011fda\u015f sanat m\u00fczesini i\u00e7erme planlar\u0131n\u0131 ve yeni binan\u0131n onun ad\u0131n\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131yaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 duyurdu.
\nD\u00fcnyan\u0131n d\u00f6rt bir yan\u0131ndan mimarlar, yeni Centre Georges Pompidou i\u00e7in tasar\u0131mlar sunmaya te\u015fvik edildi. Sunulan 680 tasar\u0131m aras\u0131ndan kazanan tasar\u0131m, projeyi y\u00fcksek teknolojili modern mimariyi \u00f6rnekleyen yenilik\u00e7i bir bina ile benimseyen \u0130talyan mimar Renzo Piano, \u0130talyan-\u0130ngiliz mimar Richard Rogers ve \u0130ngiliz tasar\u0131mc\u0131 Su Rogers’dan geldi.

Bu modern mimari d\u00f6n\u00fcm noktas\u0131, Paris’in en tan\u0131nm\u0131\u015f yap\u0131lar\u0131ndan biri olarak Eyfel Kulesi, Louvre ve Notre Dame’\u0131n yan\u0131nda yer almaktad\u0131r.
